United Country Western Dance Council®
We are the largest country western dance organization. Our mission is “to promote, preserve, and protect country dance worldwide.” We have over 50 sanctioned dance competition events in 15 countries. We promise something for everyone. Our events host competition for various age levels in both couples dancing as well as line dancing. Each year we host the World Championships of Country Dancing to allow our competitors the opportunity to win a title as the World’s Best in their division.
If competition is not for you our events offer social dancing and workshops with our top instructors. For more information please watch our videos to the right and check out the rest of our website.

UCWDC® Event Director Jean Garr was
in a terrible car crash, Tuesday, July 22.
An unlicensed driver ran a red light, T-boned Jean and tore the entire front end off her car. Thankfully, Jean was wearing her seat belt and the air bag deployed completely. The belt and the bag caused severe soft tissue damage, but saved her skeleton and her life.
Jean is walking with a walker and very, very bruised and sore. She has been staying with her sister for the last week to be closer to the doctors, so she has not had access to a computer.
